Lizard Skins Launches Their Newest Line of Long and Short finger Gloves
Lizard Skins, a longtime industry leader in grips and handlebar tape, knows about a rider’s contact points. So it’s only natural that they also make some of the finest gloves on the market. The new line offers three long-finger gloves, the Monitor Ignite, Monitor Ops, Monitor Traverse, and the three short-finger gloves the Aramus Apex, Aramus Cadence, and New Aramus Classic
They launched their first glove line in 2004 and they’re thrilled to announce three new long-finger and three new short-finger gloves.
The new line of gloves continues and improves on what the Monitor and Aramus have done for years, offering great fit, comfort, and protection. The new gloves use a mix of breathable fabrics, suedes, and padding for the palm for the perfect blend of comfort, fit, and breathability.
“We are not always known as a glove brand, even though we’ve been making outstanding gloves for over 10 years. And we’re constantly getting feedback from customers and sponsored pros about how well they fit and feel,” says Ryan Huntington, Lizard Skins’ Sales and Marketing Director.
“We were excited to start work on this new line back in 2019, and I think the hard work has really paid off,” adds Brian Fruit, Founder, and President. “These new gloves complement our tape and grip products perfectly. We’ve learned so much about making gloves over the years, and this new line is definitely our best yet. We’ll continue to make products that we feel will be a benefit to a rider, as can be seen with our other recent touch-point product, the new 4.6mm thick addition to the DSP handlebar tape.”

KASK and KOO Eyewear Unveiled as Official Suppliers of the Giro d’Italia and Giro-E
A unique KASK UTOPIA helmet designed by MotoGP and America’s Cup creative force Aldo Drudi will be presented to each Giro stage winner, whilst KOO Eyewear launches the Giro d’Italia special edition SPECTRO.
Italian helmet brand KASK together with KOO Eyewear today announce their respective continued partnerships as Official Suppliers of the iconic Giro d’Italia and accompanying multi-stage amateur e-biking event – the Giro-E – set to take place from 8-30 May.
As official helmet supplier, KASK will present each stage winner of the Corsa Rosa with a custom UTOPIA helmet designed in partnership with renowned artist Aldo Drudi. Having worked with legends across sports, Drudi is known for his distinctive designs that have decorated the helmets of America’s Cup sailing teams Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and Emirates Team New Zealand, as well as world-class MotoGP motorcyclists Valentino Rossi, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo and Enea Bastianini. Drudi will turn to the world of cycling to deliver a series of truly special ‘trophies’ for this year’s Giro victors.
In addition to its official sponsorship of the race, KASK will have a strong presence at the 104th Giro d’Italia thanks to its partnership with INEOS Grenadiers and EOLO-Kometa. The latter, a team founded by KASK ambassadors Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso, will compete at the Giro d’Italia for the first time this year. INEOS Grenadiers, meanwhile, will look to repeat the success of last year’s 103rd edition in which Tao Geoghegan Hart lifted the Trofeo Senza Fine at the end of a race that highlighted the very best of the sport’s young talent. This year Egan Bernal will vye for overall victory, wearing KASK’s range of race-winning helmets, including the recently launched WASABI.
While KASK will be worn by both the INEOS Grenadiers and EOLO-Kometa, KOO Eyewear’s sponsorship of the latter in addition to Trek-Segafredo will see their sunglasses – including the most recently launched SPECTRO and DEMOS models – being worn by the likes of Italian Vincenzo Nibali and Dutch Bauke Mollema. Now, a special edition Giro d’Italia SPECTRO model will be released in honor of this year’s event.
Shimano’s New Walkable IC2 Indoor Cycling Shoe Delivers More Stability and Comfort for the Booming Indoor Cycling Community
Shimano expands its versatile lineup of purpose-built indoor cycling shoes with the new IC2 shoe. Answering the growing indoor cycling community’s call for increased stability on and off the bike, Shimano’s IC2 shoe features a recesses 2-bolt cleat design and full-length rubber sole for improved walking stability. The lightweight IC2 shoe also features Shimano’s class-leading breathable surround upper design that offers impressive ventilation and comfort for a wide range of foot shapes and sizes. Designed for sweating it out in your home workout room, the $100 Shimano IC2 shoe will deliver on the performance and durability needs of rental studios when they reopen.
● Improved Walkability
To improve stability off the bike and make walking across the studio or across your living room easier, Shimano’s IC2 shoe features a recesses cleat area that is compatible with 2-bolt SPD cleats. Not only is the SPD cleat smaller in profile, but the recessed mounting area tucks the cleat out of the way, so you feel like you’re walking on normal ground. For even more off-the-bike stability, the IC2 shoe features a full-length rubber sole that keeps you planted to the ground even on slick studio floors. The rubber is durable and won’t wear down easily, but it’ll help keep you upright even if you’re late to class and hustling to find your bike.
● Slipper-Like Fit for the Hardest Workouts
The IC2’s mesh upper construction provides exceptional breathability as well as a slipper-like fit that cradles the foot for optimized comfort and stability. Providing support and structure to this soft upper design is Shimano’s new Cross Strap Closure System that utilizes a single strap to control the shoe’s volume so riders can dial in their perfect fit. The strap travels across the toe box and then reaches over the shoe’s instep, delivering rigidity and structure to help hold the foot in place while maximizing comfort.
● Mixed-Last Sizing for Men and Women
Shimano expands its mixed-last sizing design with the IC2 shoe, which basis fit on foot size rather than wholly focusing on gender. Smaller IC2 shoes (size 36-41) feature a narrower last similar to other Shimano women’s specific fits, while larger shoes (42-48) offer a wider last closer to men’s or unisex designs.
● Pumped Up Ventilation
Purpose-built for indoor cycling, where conditions quickly become sweltering with the heat and humidity of a packed studio class, the Shimano IC2 shoe delivers class-leading breathability. The mesh upper construction promotes airflow and ventilation across the top of the shoe and also offers quick drying capabilities – an important feature for cycling studios or riders who routinely jump on the bike for their daily workouts.
Shimano’s IC2 (SH-IC200) indoor cycling shoes will be available later this month in stores and online here: https://shimanoindoor.com/

Kitzuma Cycling Logistics Opens Delivery Service to Independent Bike Dealers
After launching its box-free delivery service with DTC bike brands, they’ll now deliver ready-to-ride bikes from IBD to consumers.
Continuing its rapid, disruptive path through the bike shipping industry, Kitzuma Cycling Logistics is proud to announce they’re now delivering bikes for Independent Bike Dealers (IDB) across the country. Retailers who offer online sales can employ Kitzuma to deliver fully built, ready-to-ride bikes directly from the shop to the consumer’s doorstep.
Description automatically generated with low confidenceAfter highly successful pilot programs with Motion Makers Bike Shop, a multi-store retailer in North Carolina, Contender Bicycles, a Utah-based retailer, and PLAYTRI, a multisport retailer with stores across the country – all of which also feature popular online storefronts – Kitzuma is in discussions with various other retailers to offer the service, and they’re actively pursuing additional partnerships. All three retailers have been thrilled with the various benefits Kitzuma provides for the IBD.
“We love being able to offer the customer an option of delivery that doesn’t risk their bike getting damaged or them having to figure out how to re-assemble a boxed bike,” says Kent Cranford, owner of Motion Makers. “This has become our standard for shipping bikes. The customers have been very impressed with the service!”
In addition to customer service, there’s added value for the retailer: Instead of having to box up every bike purchased online, staff can spend more time working on other bikes or on the sales floor.
“We offer independent bike dealers the best delivery service anywhere,” adds Co-Founder/COO Chris Cosgrove “Our shipping times are fast and reliable, and we offer comparable rates. Our service is especially helpful for delivering e-bikes or unusually shaped tri/TT bikes, for which traditional boxed shipping is notoriously difficult. We want to connect people who have bikes with people who want bikes, allowing IBD’s to reach a much broader consumer market.”
Potential Kitzuma clients without an online storefront can also use the service – perhaps to deliver bikes to consumers who live far away, which is increasingly common considering the industry-wide inventory issues, or to simply add a ‘white glove’ option to any customer – which could turn a local shop into a regional/national retailer. Either way, retailers of any size can reap the benefits of working with Kitzuma.
“Our initial test run went beautifully, and we’re confident lots of other dealers nationwide will sign up soon,” adds Kitzuma Co-Founder/CITO Tony Eggers. “That experience also helped us develop our new online portal which makes it incredibly quick and easy for IBD clients to process their orders, track delivery, etc. The combination of top-end service and a user-friendly interface should be extremely attractive for bike dealers.”
